Cobra is owned by Ed Thomason and Karen Hirschkorn of Alpine Falls AST and Anthony Daquila who lives in France and was bred by Kris Wells of Hilltop Kennels.   Cobra, or "Coby the Cougar", came to stay with me in February 2005 to begin training for his AKC Companion Dog title.  We began competing in July of 2005 and by September Cobra had earned his CD.  Cobra was a humbling experience.  Coby never managed to NQ on the same thing twice nor did he manage to miss anything to NQ on.  Just for the heck of it, I decided to hook Coby up to the cart and after a couple short training sessions, he went on to earn his UKC United Weight Puller title.  Had Cobra remained in the states, he would have easily gone on and become very succesfull in the Weight Pull barn.  For added kicks, I hauled the Cougar all the way accross the state for his Temperament Test Society evaluation of which he passed with flying colors. 

I would like to thank Ed and Karen for giving me the opportunity to train and play with Cobra and for supporting me through the laughter and the tears.  I learned a lot with Cobra.  He is a great dog and I miss him.

Cobra is now  in the country of France with Anthony and his family where he is living the high life earning his European Championships as well as fratrenizing with the ladies.  I hear he is becoming fluent in the French language and it took him virtually seconds to learn "Wee Wee"!
