PowerBall has only begun his health testing and I have started with his heart. I wanted to make sure that PowerBall's ticker could withstand the rigors of high levels of weight pull and agility. PowerBall passed.
PowerBall's elbows and Patella's have been cleared by the veterinarian for him to be used a breeding guy and a working guy. Because patella's are just a manipulation, and his elbow X-rays were evaluated by two canine specialists, I am not sending in his records to OFA.
Power's PennHip scores did not come back as bad as we originally feared. Although not perfect, his .54/.41 is respectable. GOOO PowerBall!!
PowerBall's breeding program will be managed by his co-owners at Alpine Falls AST. Any serious breeding inquiries need to be taken to Karen and Ed Thomason. I regret that under no circumstances is Power available to anything but AKC registered females. Sorry. Vintage Kennel will not contract any breedings to PowerBall. Vintage Kennel doesn't own his breeding parts! (Luckily for us!)
OK, so this pissed me off. I found out that AKC does not recognize the DNA done by UKC even though they go to the same place. GRRRR!!! These guys need to leave us out of their petty rivalry!
