Repo has undergone the necessary health tests for breeding and for competition.

At Vintage Kennel, I feel all of my dogs should pass OFA Cardiac as well as have a favorable PennHip score before they are even considered for breeding.  I would never sell a dog from Vintage Kennel with the hopes of becoming a competition weight pull or breeding dog who has NOT passed OFA heart Nor, would I sell a dog for breeding or competition weight pull whose Pen Hipp scores are lower than the 50% range.  I do, however, compete and train my own unhealth tested dogs but would not consider selling or breeding them until all their tests are passed.

At Vintage Kennel, we no longer accept OFA Hips as a viable health test for the evaluation of hips.  This test is much too subjective and we place no credibility in the results.  All females bred to Vintage males must be Penn Hip evaluated.  A failure of OFA means nothing to us.  All females bred to Vintage males must also be DNA profiled prior to breeding.  Vintage dogs are no longer OFA evaluated in anything but hearts.

Repo is DNA-P profiled.  His mother was not DNA tested at the time of Po's evaluation.

Repo's Penn Hip score was not as good as his daddy's but not as bad as his mommy's.  It is with careful selection that we are able to improve upon Penn Hip scores.  The most important thing at Vintage Kennel, is the fact that there is no evidence of DJD!  Vintage Kennel is dead set against breeding animals that are not health-tested.  There is no such thing as "proof in the pudding" unless the pudding is on the paper.

Here at Vintage Kennel I firmly believe in at least having my dog's hearts tested before any serious performance compitition.  Passing OFA cardiac is an absolute MUST in my breeding program, and for any serious performance events such as heavy weight pulling or the more demanding levels of agility or dog sport.  No dog at Vintage Kennel will ever be put through demanding work without a cardiac evaluation by a certified cardiologist.

My views on Elbows and  are not the same as hearts and Patellas.  I would never sell, give, or trade a dog whose failure of the OFA patella or elbows test would knowingly put that animal in danger for high level performance events.   Repo is the last dog that will be OFA x-rayed at Vintage Kennel.
