Klicker began competing in obedience only on a whim and a dare. Here he won his first Sub Novice obedience class under Pat Younger in May of 2000. The ribbon says "I won, but the judge did not see me!" I really had no desire to compete in boring old obedience. Klicker had only taken Basic Obedience by this time at PawsAbilities Training Center in Tukwila, WA. |
Photo by Ruth Kramer The great Karyn Dawes talked me into competing in my first obedience trial at the 2001 National in Vancouver, WA. After not practicing obedience for five months, Klicker and I went in cold turkey and managed to obtain our first qualifying score. I was showing that ribbon to everyone I was so proud! Klicker had only been in beyond basic obedience to this date. |

OK, so maybe we didn't get that perfect 200 but hey I was really proud of my little guy. Our first ten points under Ron Gaither and our first Qualifying Score. Klicker obtained his second obedience leg in May of 2002 under Vic Buresh, the day he became a Grand Champion and a Total Dog qualifyer. Our final leg was earned in June 2002 in Spokane WA under Melvin Stanely. |
In May of 2003, Klicker and I attempted to recreate our Total Dog performance of the previous year. Although we had our first qualifying score in Novice C we didn't win the Grand Class. We did earn a High APBT in Trial trophy though! |

Once again Klicker claimed a Novice C qualifying score but my God Son, Stuart beat us out in the Grand class. We did earn another high APBT in trial! |
Photo by Charlie Klicker started training in agility with Susan Perry in 2001. Here he is practicing his skills at a New Year's Day 2003 Fun Run in Port Orchard, WA.
Klicker went on to earn his UAGI title in 2003 with three 196's and my foot in a cast. |

Klicker earned his UAGII title with three perfect 200's at the Puget Sound Canine show in Auburn, WA in October 2003. Here Klicker is learning to run the weave poles in a one inch, off set configuration. |
Klicker got his first harness from CD Pits. He has learned to pull a 10 foot boat chain and is becoming accustomed to the sled. His first love is definately NOT weight pull. |

|
Klicker and I were awarded the top APBT Obedience Handler of the Year Award in 2002. What a shock. See our story in the January 2004 Issue of Bloodlines magazine. |
Klicker has continued to show in Novice C obedience while he works on learning the skills needed for his UCDX. |

Herre I give Klicker a pre-trial Pep Talk! |
Groups are always a great way to see how long owners can hold their breath. |

Here Klicker participates in the group sit exercise. |
Klicker loves the stand for exam. He is always hoping for a friendly hand out.

Poor Klicker, no biscuits this time around. |
At the 2005 Washington Classic, Klicker obtained a score of 189.5 in Novice C obedience under Ron Gaither, in addition to winning the Grand Class, Best of Breed, Terrier Group One, and Best In Multi-Breed show making this the second time in his career he has been a Total Dog qualifyer out of the obedience ring. |
