POWER'S OBEDIENCE CAREER IS OFF TO A GOOD START

Power began his working title quest at one year of age.  He began training for obedience at 12 weeks old and has managed to pass two Basic Obedience Classes and one Beyond Basic at Paws-Abilities dog training center.  Shortly after on a freak inclination - PowerBall was entered in his first obedience trial.  Without ever practicing a stand for exam, an honor down, or a group sit, PowerBall sailed through to earn his first leg in February 2007!

Power moved into Advanced Obedience and was showing promise.  But, I got lazy and started concentrating on Premier.   After a couple of months off of practice, PB and I entered our second obedience trial and although our healing was a tad bit disgusting, we had our second leg toward our UCD.

Powerball finished his UCD in July of 2007 under judge Pamela Moore at the Washington Classic and hopes to move to the AKC ring in August and begin his CD trialing.  PB wants to prove that AmStaff's are just as good as Goldens and not half as hairy.  He also want to show them that is is possible to earn a qualifying score without looking like it is the greatest thing in the world - healing.

PowerBall has begun training for his open work in UKC while we SLOWLY work toward our AKC CD.  Things are much faster in the dumbell work than they are in the AKC ring.  PB likes AKC as much as I do! STUFFYYYYYYY said PowerBall.

PowerBall began agility training with Sandra Katzen at the Vortex Agility Training Center in November of 2006 as is showing a real aptitude.  With a little bit of luck, we may just be ready to begin our agility career in October 2007 as well.  Stay tuned for PowerBall's agility page.
